Equal to a restaurant gaining a MICHELIN Star, the MICHELIN Keys are provided to hotels that have been specially selected for offering the most outstanding stays.
Vetted by passionate, independent MICHELIN experts taking into account five universal criteria: excellence in architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, overall personality and character, value for the price, and a significant contribution to the neighborhood or setting. MICHELIN Key hotels don’t just fulfill one of these criteria. They are the best of the best in all categories.

Committed to accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
Playa Viva is proud to have secured B-Corp certification with a score of 110, the highest B-Corp certification score given to a hotel to date. Certified B-Corps are for-profit brands that use the power of business to build a more inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic system for people and planet. Brands must secure a score above 80 to achieve B-Corp Certification; on average B-Corp certified hotel scores sit between 80-88.
